Charity golf day
Every year, on 2 January, the Hanmer Springs Golf Club holds a charity tournament to support a local organisation. Approx 110 played and this year's proceeds went to the Play Centre.
It was a good fun on a glorious day, the course was amazingly well groomed (it always is) and there were some great scores - but not including mine! (though I did win a raffle meat pack!)
A highlight of the day was the prize giving. The 3 and 4 y.o. "littlies" from the Play Centre took turns at presenting the prizes.
They were so cute, some were very proud and confident at shaking hands, others were terrified, but by their second turn they were all brilliant.
They had obviously practiced hard and were all getting really good at the hand shaking process until a golfer with no right arm came up to collect his prize . . . . Oh no, what do I do now?
Involving the kids was a great idea. The golfers were thrilled.
