Ruins

This is the photo I'd intended to take to go with the new Grouper album in my review of last year before that whole plan went a bit askew. I even got a bit of well-timed sunlight (which was not widely in evidence otherwise) to cast the relevant shadows. Not that the image really fits the music in this case, but the title is apt if nothing else. I've photographed this house before but since then a little more of its history as a children's home has come to light through the media and it seems to be a case where demolition might actually be the best epitaph...
