Bumble bee on Thistle.

PJ had two trips today, one about mid morning, then another one mid afternoon. He mowed lawns in between times.
The fuel tanker came into day to give us petrol. PJ had found out on Monday that we had run out of petrol, when he went to fill the boat up. Yikes!!
I was waiting around for the tanker to arrive, when I saw the bumble bee.
I wasn't sure how it had turned out until I got the picture on the computer, and then noticed the tips of the 'petals' are in focus. I suppose thistles have petals?? Does anyone know?
PJ had told me to go and remind the driver that we only needed a 1000 litres, and not to  fill the tank, which would have been 2000 litres. Not a nice account to get, when you don't need that much. After last season, just before we went away, PJ had asked for 600 -700 litres, and we got given 1700 litres !!! No work and no money coming in either then, but it still had to be paid for. At least we had fuel at the beginning of the water taxi season.
