Light bulb grass!
It was rather gloomy this morning but we were forecast brighter conditions this afternoon, so I stayed in and planted some indoor bulbs and some herbs and chillies!
Blue skies arrived about 2 pm so we went out for our walk. The dogs are loving the woods at the moment, going all over the place sniffing the molehills!
At one point we were walking into the sun and I noticed how the light was catching this crop (miscanthus - elephant grass - which is a bit like bamboo). It looked like there were light bulbs on top of the stems. I had to get completely in the shade of a tree to avoid any flare - and use a small aperture to get a reasonably fast shutter speed and throw the 'lights' behind out of focus. It was very breezy and they were moving around a lot so the fast shutter speed has helped to freeze the motion.
Camera club tonight - it's photo critique night. We need to take along 5 images to project, for assessment by one of the competition judges .... eek!
