The Road to the Quarry

This is an old road which goes to Nab End Quarry, Blackwood Common, Sowerby.
The quarry is long closed, but I find it fascinating to imagine the horse drawn trucks with their steel wheels clattering along these stone tracks, cutting grooves in them over the years.
The light was fading, which gave the clouds in the sky some drama, so I thought it merited being displayed in mono.
