January Challenge Week 1

Well, it's bakelite, but I hope that counts as plastic!

We bought this telephone years ago in an antique barn.  I loved the slightly art deco shape, and it had a practical use too.  It's great in a powercut, as our normal home phone needs power to work.  Ok, we all have mobile phones now, so we could live without it.  However, it brings to mind the William Morris quote "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful."  This is both, so it's staying.
