Yellow evening

Curious light this evening, sort of pinky yellow. Very pretty.

Big excitement later on when a helicopter landed on the green. I think it was the coastguard. Then we heard that some guy was on a roof of a nearby house having set fire to the top floor flat and was hurling tiles at the police and fire service. Then we heard he had a gun. Possibly the coastguard brought in armed response.  Nearby houses and flats were evacuated. Just heard they got the guy down and the fire under control and the helicopter has left.  All a bit too much excitement really!

We've been in bed since Boxing Day with a really horrid chesty bug. We're just about getting up now and I managed about 6 hours today before creeping back to bed. Neither of us has much energy at all. I can't remember when we were last both out for the count for so long.
