Imbrie Pond Blue Heron

I didn't get out to do photos until late in the afternoon, but I was lucky as the sun appeared and I enjoyed that beautiful waning light.  I headed to the ponds at Imbrie as I can always count on something interesting.  While I was there photographing the blue heron, in flew the hawk.

Later I stopped by to see if the eagles were on the sentry tree, and the female was!
