The benefits of aging
We've been talking about what we have now that we didn't have when we were forty.
More laughter, ease, tenderness. More freedom. More courage to stand up for what we believe. More practice in letting go. More stillness. Better judgment, better boundaries, better sense of proportion. More patience with those we love. More mistakes made. (Learned from them all.)
Less responsibility, less drudgery, less need to endure what bores us.
Perhaps, if you're old enough, you'd like to add a few of your own.
