I love Mud.......

Well not exactly, but now I have a new pair of walking wellies, bought as a Christmas present from my darling wife, I'm a little less reticent to walk across these quagmires on local footpaths.  This is my 'go-to' tree just down the road from where I live.  It is ideal for sunrises at this time of year, though this was taken about 15 minutes prior to dawn, hence the deeper colouration.



Technical:  Single image, 3 stop ND Grad filter set on the horizon line.  Processed in Lightroom, highlights reduced, shadows lightened.  Into Nik Color Efex, tonal contrast applied, saturation increased (too much?).
