The forecast was wrong!

It's Wednesday, so it was a walking day for Haltwhistle Walkers.  30 of us set out from Acomb village, led by Geoff, on his first walk as leader.  The forecast was for rain all day, but we walked in blustery clear conditions.  The rain appeared very briefly after lunch, but we were on the edge of it, and it soon stopped.

Here is one of the farms near Hangman's Hill with the black clouds of the storm in the distance.

I can't say just how much I enjoy Wednesdays.  Good company, great countryside and energising exercise.  Can't wait for next week!
