The #Bronte Connection
A busy but very interesting day with eight site visits, two of which involved historic buildings including Red House at Gomersal which features as Briarmains in the Charlotte Bronte novel Shirley (1849).
Charlotte Bronte was a close friend of Mary Taylor whose family owned the house. The grounds of the house have changed little from the 1830s to the present day.
My choice of photos today was between this photo of Red House or a very large stuffed bird which was hanging around in a caretaker's workshop. Red House won the day.
