The sun!

Who would have believed it?! The sun! A nice day, with very little rain!

LHRH aren't sun worshippers and Lopud is lovely but we didn't come on holiday to experience the same level of rain Glasgow gives us!

Lying in the sun, swimming in the sea, eating ice cream. Proper holiday. Decided to go out on a kayak... LH had done this once or twice before, but RH was a novice. We expected some sort of guidance, not just a shove out into the bay full of yachts and boats. We shot off at speed round the island... going great guns past the small nudist beach. Turning round wasn't much fun as we got caught by the wind, going further and further from the shore. Lesson learned, stay in the bay and dont go too far!

Even having explored this small town and island as we have, I can't imagine tiring of the walk around the bay, watching the sun go down and eating ice cream.

We decided to eat in a small restaurant at the foot of the hills behind the town. RH had read a good review, and we probably wouldn't have chosen it otherwise, but a lovely seafood meal and homemade wine.
