Off on his travels

Dropped Campbell in Stromness this morning to catch the ferry south with his Scout troop. They're heading for a big Highlands & Islands Scout gathering near Inverness.

The ferry terminal was full of cubs and scouts of varying sizes. The older ones all looking a bit gallas and the littler ones looking slightly terrified.

I asked if I was allowed to hang about to wave him off and was treated to 'Don't you dare' tilt of the eyebrows, shortly followed by a steely glower with the message of 'Don't you dare try to give me a hug before you go' which I ignored and fulfilled my parental duty of embarrassing my sons at all time.
