Goodbye to the Little Shed Under the Stars

Tonight is my last night here in the valley, with our new life starting down in the Forest tomorrow.

I'm full of mixed emotions to be honest; sad to be going and leaving behind our wonderful neighbours and community, and also a little regretful that we weren't able to do everything we wanted to the property. I'm excited to face the new challenge though down south, and to see what we can do with the new place. 

I guess with my love of the clear night skies over Kaituna, it's only fitting that my swansong should feature the stars sitting over the house, with branches of the oldest trees on the property trying to budge their way in at the corners.

Thank you, dear little house for all that you've taught me, and for making me a stronger person. I know you're going to be in good hands.

Onwards and upwards. Tomorrow will also see the start of a new name for my journal; I'll be staying with Horomaka for my user name, but my page will be under a different title.
