Nostalgia
In the attic I re-discovered my box of Tri-ang Minic diecast metal 1:1200 scale waterline model ships including this, M702 RMS Queen Elizabeth. These date from the early 1960s and include Royal Navy ships and submarines as well as liners, merchant ships, harbour quays, wharves, storage tanks, dry dock, warehouses etc all in their original boxes. Some of the paintwork needs re-doing and I've still to find the masts and cranes which I recall were made of plastic. The RMS Queen Elizabeth played a crucial role in the second world war and came to an untimely and sad end in Hong Kong harbour in 1972.
