Gum Moth

When Bella and I were coming back from our egg delivery walk down the road this morning I saw what appeared to be a large brown leaf in the middle of the road but on closer inspection it turned out to be a newly hatched gum moth. There are gum trees next to the road and I have often seen cocoons and caterpillars but the moths are so well camouflaged they are hard to spot.
