Harlequin Duck

I went back today, and found the Harlequin Duck, with its little crowd of twitchers watching it.  It's not that much to look at, but it was good to see the rarity since it's so close to home.  The press reported that it's a female, but the birders say that it's a young male that hasn't got its adult feathers yet. I suppose it'll be long gone before they appear. (This is what it will look like.)
