Geranium ...
Mum and I went to the market place in the sunshine. The temperature was with 18°C okay. In the course of the day more and more clouds covered the sky and in the afternoon it rained.
We went through some stories and 'stuff' from the past. Mum had found old drawings of different plants as you can see on Wiki for example. The paper on which they were printed, had become yellowish.
"Oh", she said, "I remember these drawings from the time they were brand new." she told with enthusiasm about the beautiful colored drawings on spotless white paper.
"It's a pity", she said, "that the paper has become so discolored in the course of the time."
One of the drawings was about a geranium. I proposed to try to make a picture from the geranium in the windowsill. With transperant colors against a spotless white background.
I made a set-up from the geranium against a white A-4 and the camera with a 300mm lens on a distance of 0,9m.
"But how can it be spotless?", mum asked. "I see the shadow of the flower on the white paper!?!"
"Just two seconds and you'll see ... " And what she saw, is my blip for today ... ;)
