New road

This is at the bottom of Maffeys Road in Mt Pleasant.  The large retaining wall was completely rebuilt after it failed in the earthquake, closing the access from McCormack's Bay  for several years.  Now services are being repaired along the main road, so it is still a work zone.

I walked down to the estuary this morning, rather than going up the hill as it was very windy and cool.
