The Summit

This is the lock-keeper's cottage at West Summit Lock 37 on the Rochdale Canal. At 600 feet above sea level it is, I believe, the highest point on the British canal network.

The weather forecast today bravely asserted that there was a 100% chance of rain.  It was 100% correct.  But that didn't dampen my spirits:  the photograph from my Blip on Tuesday was published on the Guardian newspaper's Weather page today (page 42, if you are interested.) Dead chuffed.
