Now you see them.....

.....now you don't!
Three roe deer casually browsing their way through the wood this morning. I am fairly certain that they have quite an astute sense of which humans will set their dogs to chase them and which will stay back and quietly admire them.
That was this morning's walk but although we set out along the canal this afternoon in the dry, the forecasters must have been fibbing! We thought we might have an hour or maybe two rain-free, however, one hour in it started to rain seriously. We turned back for the car but that meant another hour marching right into the freshening breeze and 45 degree rain. Home at last and all three of us were soaked through!
I almost forgot to mention the overnight winds. I looked out at about one am just in time to see a neighbours recycling bin blow over and half the contents vanish up the street! Sure glad I wasn't out in that!
