Duff - Clootie Dumpling

Tomorrow marks a 'Big Birthday' day for one the family and a special birthday merits a special celebration cake. On this occasion, the traditional duff/dumpling was considered to be the 'ideal thing for the job'. A bit of mixing, four hours of steaming and a duff rolls out of the cloot.  My first duff blip - sorry, I could'nt resist that one - Happy Birthday, Mary!
