Balcony Plants--Paris
This view is near our apartment in Paris 13th, just off the Place de l'Abbé Georges Hénocque at the bottom of our street. The two apartments may perhaps have the same owner, but I'm sceptical. Parisians love their plants, throughout the city, on whichever floor they live. It would be great to blip this same view in mid-summer, but we're never here.
The news here on the terrorist-assassins airs non-stop, even on the non-news channel France 2 (it is a public channel) which we watch much of the time. The two hostage situations were resolved late this afternoon, although tragically with the death of four hostages in the case of one siege. We are fine; our area seems as quiet as always. Virtually all European leaders seem to be planning to join the protest assembly here on Sunday. All of Paris will be in the streets.
