An Empty Playground

The playgrounds are empty...
on this Friday.
For it is too cold...
for the kids to play.

The air is brisk,
we're in a deep freeze.
the temp reads 11F,
with a stiff breeze.

No place to play,
for little girls and boys.
They're safely inside,
playing with toys.

Bonus points if you saw the 2 chirping squirrels in the trees (dead center.) One red, one black. For, while there were no kids out playing...there was one playground romper. A big tabby cat...scaring the rodents.
