Customhouse Coffee

Hot day... weather wise!

Otago Farmers Market very busy with lots of tourists and a few families with student age young adults enjoying the weather and the produce.  One of the cherry stands was so busy I decided to go else where but ended back at original stall as they were the only ones with big fat juicy cherries. Also bought tomatoes, bread made from the grain mash left from whiskey distilling and , of course, havoc bacon.  Bacon butties for Sunday tea.

Next stop organic suppliers to top up sugar jar, buy eggs, herbal tea, dried mango, hazelnuts (good for lowering cholesterol) and a lovely bunch of sweetpea flowers with super long stems.  Heady perfume enveloped my senses as I stood waiting top pay and I could not resist.

Next stop Customhouse for coffee and a shared bowl of chips - always think of you MD when tucking into chips.  Had to ask for the doors and windows to be opened as it became quite sauna-like in the Cafe.  Nice little sea breeze dried the condensation on the upper lip.

Home, via the purchasing of the winning lotto ticket for tonight, to open as many doors and windows as we could.  Best way to freshen up a stuffy house.  I love doors and windows open but Mother has a thing about doors being closed so we spend all summer opening closed doors and then in winter the reverse applies!!

Washed all the canines blankets and rugs too.  He is feeling the heat and is presently lying in the doorway getting a cool breeze on his tum.
