Cutting ties

"We really need to spend some time having a good clear out of our closet," I thought to myself today, noticing part of Leejohnaire's large tie collection, for which sadly he has had no real need for many years; people hardly ever seem to wear ties here anymore, even at work. We're both terrible at throwing away clothes, especially things that we really like and have formed some sentimental attachment to but have no need for or which no longer fit. "We just need to suck it up and get ruthless."  Whereupon, I headed out for lunch with some of our lovely neighbours and then later for dinner with some wonderful old friends. 

Maybe the clear out will be done tomorrow...
