Hazel, Corylus avellana

This male flowering Hazel looked quite spectacular in the afternoon sun, after a very wet morning, dreary but mild. Then out came the sun with hardly a cloud in the sky all afternoon. Not many hazel bushes are advanced as this one in the Hoe Valley, and no sign of any female flowers but they are rather insignificant.
