It was a really interesting evening. A friend of L's sister came for a visit so we intended to grill some chops and sausages in the huge fireplace. When the fire was lit a couple from the next house dropped in to say hi and were promptly invited to dinner, which was very nice because they could help doing the grilling. Soon after that another neighbour dropped in and was also invited for dinner. This impromptu party lasted until one o'clock in the night. It was so nice.
The bird had their own party on the balcony.
