The Navy comes to Lyme Regis.

HMS Edinburgh ,a navy destroyer anchored of the Cobb harbour.
My Dad ,89 is a veteran of WW2 .He was in the Navy on destroyers and was in the Atlantic & Russian convoys.
Plus he was in the far east,saw Hiroshima after the bomb and was involved in the Korean war before getting out.
He doesn't talk about it much.
He's not that interested in this visit.Too many bad memories I guess.
Still I will always be proud of him.
Most of us are lucky not to have been directly affected by war.
I hope my kid is as lucky.
