Possibly the best mountain view in Scotland....
After yesterdays exertions we had a leisurely breakfast and I was told by Nigel that I could go f*** myself if I thought we were going up the Inn Pin as planned the previous week... there was no danger of that happening.
We then set out over the stepping stones at River Scavaig and wandered up Sgurr Na Stri (previously blipped on the way in). It's an easier route up the back than it looks there. The weather was clearing up nicely as well got up and we got some great views back down to the hut and over to the Cuillin Ridge itself. We were also able to pick it yesterdays route; it looked all so easy from here. We took the same route back down and and at a small bealach turned out towards the Camasunarry bothy. When we got there there was a bunch of French kids staying, had a quick chat and we sat outside in the sun whilst three of them went for a swim. They were quickly joined by a very inquisitive seal, their squeals at being in the cold sea soon died down as the the three of them went eye to eye with the seal that was about 10m from them. Must have been quite an experience.
We then headed off along the coastal path back to Coruisk; the weather was very nice by that point and there was plenty of seals and seabirds to see along the way. Then we noticed that one seal was acting a bit strange, that was because it was an otter!! Quite a privilege to see the wee guy playing about in the sea. We continued along the path to the bad step before getting our selves back. The views along the path were breath taking. Quick wee bit of fishing, caught nothing, then dinner and a leisurely few cans, drams and loads of cheese. A good eight hour walk, which was quite respectable after yesterdays exertions.
