Snowdrops
Inspired by a facebook friend's pic of snowdrops in her garden I ventured out to see if any were poking through out in ours. Lo and behold there is a thick clutch of them under the hawthorn tree pictured in the Dreich blip. (I haven't learned how to link back yet).
There are some daffodils through elsewhere in the garden, and the crocus bulbs I planted under the same tree also seem to be appearing, despite the hens from next door rampaging through the area with their scratchy claws and beaks. Tulip bulbs are also just peaking up in the containers I planted them in. I know this because the cyclamens in them have been dislodged to reveal them. Initially I thought that this was due to the high winds, but the fact that they have also been chewed, coinciding with the appearance in our garden of Olly & Mary, the two tame pet sheep who belong to my niece up the road, has led me to a different conclusion...
