traffic in chennai

it is not describable and no photo can even approach what it feels to be there.  

what can these men on their bikes and in their rickshaws look like inside; i am coughing all the time.and not to think about the people who walk and cannot afford to take a vehicle or the people on the street, selling things, flowers, coconuts, frying food in their bicycle-carts, girls wearing their smart uniforms and their hair in  a coloured bow--walking to school.....
those marvelous trees probably do something to clear the air-but something more drastic should happen here, and soon.
