Les Eyzies

First day of walking - about 25km to Sarlat de Caneda. We set off from the spectacular setting of Les Eyzies with its towering limestone cliffs. Nearby there are numerous 'grottes' where some impressive prehistoric cave paintings can be seen. Sadly none of these were open today. Great day of walking through misty woods and quiet villages.
