All the stress of packing...

...none of the fun of moving.

Eventually the loss adjusters agree that the insurers would pay for the internal work on our flat following the storm.  We were originally informed our entire flat would need to be empty (every room except the bathroom was needing work done).  After a lot of back and forth it was agreed that rather than them stump up to empty our house and accommodate us for the couple of weeks, they would work around us and our boxes, doing a couple of rooms at a time.

We have a huge sideboard that needs 6 men to safely move so we shifted it away from the wall (which was no mean feat in itself) and wrapped it up in blankets, bubble wrap and plastic.  Stressful times ahead.
