Jounalists Memorial

Felt only right to go and pay my respects at the Journalists Memorial at Newseum in DC today. A sobering place to spend the morning. A walk through the history of news - and very much a shrine to the poor behaviour of mankind across the years. The exhibition of Pullitzer Prize winning photographs was amazing. Everyone silent and in tears walking through that gallery. Not often you get to hear from the photographers themselves about their own emotions as they captured an iconic shot. Happily there were also more cheerful exhibits to enjoy!
