Windy days and nights

Today i offered to walk my husband's dog while he was at his part time weekend job at Leeds Castle. I prefer to just take the dog for a 'yomp' through the woods, and so does he!

Today was unusual in that half the trees were gone! To be specific they were torn up.

This piece of woodland is very small and last year the local council 'coppiced' removing trees, shrubs and bushes. It left large spaces, which the wind of the last few days has whipped through and torn up several trees by the roots. This one was actually blocking our normal path which leads to a clearing. Dog was nonplussed for a while, because to him the clearing means chasing the ball that i throw for him, again and again and again, and now he couldnt get there!

We soon found another route and played chase the ball until i had had enough!

The wind is still whistling and howling, so who knows what we will find tomorrow
