Cod from the Mersey

It was a very high tide, and an extremely strong wind, but three enterprising fishermen had erected barriers against the worst of the wind and the waves which were crashing over the promenade and were enjoying the fishing. Each had caught cod, swept into the Mersey by the rough seas and the tide.
