Rosehaugh Estate

Dreadful weather today. Cold, stormy, flurries of sleet and snow, so it was a quick walk on the Estate.

Power came on briefly at 3.45, went off again at 4.45, but returned after an hour and is still on at the moment.

Who would be an engineer, restoring power lines, in this dreadful weather. Apparently in Muir of Ord alone they had 10 lines down. There are up ended trees everywhere, next doors greenhouse was all over our garden, thankfully it had PVC windows, I think I'll send Poppy out with a sledge to collect firewood for us, there is so much lying all over the paths.

But, joking apart, I do admire the men who go out in the freezing dark to get our lights back on. If any of them happen to read this "Thank you", we are very grateful.
