Buds

Had a lovely surprise when I walked into the kitchen this morning and discovered not one but three pretty flowers on the plants that Tim's mum sent us for Christmas.  They literally appeared overnight - that's some fast work!

Had a lovely day with Charlotte staying.  We got up quite late and then made a cooked breakfast.  Spent a fair chunk of the day researching flights and hotels for our trip to New York in March - and actually got it booked, too - so exciting!

Walked down into Greenwich with Char just before 4pm, and we caught the boat into London.  The first one we got on broke down a few minutes later (it lost power), so we had to disembark at Surrey Quays and wait for a replacement.  Got to the London Eye eventually, then walked over to Waterloo, where we discovered that neither of us had any trains running back to our respective homes.  D'oh!  Char caught the Northern Line down to Wimbledon South instead, and I walked back along the river to Blackfriars and caught the train from there.  Tim met me at the station, and we went for dinner at Khan's.  A nice, different, kind of Saturday :)
