Goodness me! It's cold!
Before I say anything else, I promise I will tell you the train Lille to Calais story by Tuesday at the very latest. I am waiting for one of those days when I have nothing else to tell you.
I slept quite late this morning and didn't actually wake until 6:30! That is quite good for me, meaning I'd had nearly 6 hours which is quite a lot for me. I stayed in bed until 8:29 enjoying the fact I didn't have to get up. My left big toe poking out from under the duvet told me it was cold out there.
It was a really nice Saturday. I put some food out for the birds before I went out and was delighted to see Eric with another friend. No sign of Lucky. I expect he was somebody's Christmas dinner with the size of him....
I am not entirely sure what type of bird this little fellow is. I'd never seen one like it before. When he did visit the feeders, he seemed taken with sunflower hearts. I looked through my birdie app and have decided he is one of the warblers and could be a Black Cap. Please tell me if you know for definite what my first time visitor is. I love the bright eyes which even sat in a branch attracted me.
I went to Robert Dyas today and picked up two bags of mealworms but then went straight to the Garrick to meet Frank. The cold wind was cutting straight through me! Frank arrived soon after and we had our Blipmoan but I must admit, it wasn't that long today. We are getting used to it. The awful happenings in France were a big feature of our conversation.
It was then home for an Indian takeaway. I dozed off in The Voice and will catch it tomorrow.
Track? Here's a cracker from Paul Weller. I love the lyrics - Written In The Stars
