Castle Grant

Thick snow this morning, but the wet sort with a white sky.Excavated the van and cleared the drive, just to keep it down as it then did showers all day.
Walked in Castle Grant woods for a few hours. The crossbills were very busy, singing, feeding and pairing as they are amongst the earliest to breed.Also saw woodpeckers, jays, siskins, assorted tits etc.
Wondered how many roubles it is costing the new castle owner to heat it!
