Castles in the air

My cousins 6 year old was very excited about me coming over from NZ and had been tracking my flight in the air with his grandad (my uncle), so we bonded pretty quickly when we actually met. Our bond strengthened when he told me he was soo g medieval times and castles at school this term. My favourite period in history too. So today he and I and my sister headed to Conisbrough castle for the afternoon. (Having driven back from Wiltshire this morning so as not to disappoint him!!!)
We had a fantastic afternoon and of course being an aunt of sorts I had to spoil him and buy him a sword and shield and some books about castles!
