Entry to the Kingdom of Lovelace
This is Briary East bridge, the smallest of the 15 bridges built by the 1st Earl of Lovelace on his estate near East Horsley, Surrey. This one is only 6 feet at its widest, the largest being 18 feet. He built them to allow timber shipments to cross existing byways on horse-drawn cart.
It looks like the weather on the other side is a bit nicer!
