Joy and Renewal

Yellow roses signify happiness, joy, rebirth.  This one is trying hard to bring happiness into my garden even in the coldest of January days.  It nestles in a sheltered spot near the beech hedge whose copper leaves are still giving it some protection.  Fitting too for a day of mass showing of solidarity for peaceful, inclusive and respectful ways of living life.  On a more mundane level I spent a couple of hours assembling new bunk beds for the grandkids.  They seem solid and well made, but it was bit of wrestle to get holes and dowels etc to line up, not up to IKEA standard!!
