Mourning
A Scots Pine (or perhaps a Douglas Fir?) stands over it's fallen partner. These two trees must have stood side by side for decades, growing together and seeing perhaps the whole of the 20th century together. And yet in a few short hours, winds gradually weaken and then snap the roots that have held this tree against countless gales before. Its partner still stands.
