In fact the upper part of a basil seedhead, lit from beneath. 

Macro photography is much harder than I thought it would be. To take the kinds of shots I had in mind is going to take loads of practise. And possibly better glasses. 
Fun though. 

A wet windy day, though I did get in a walk at the Warrens with Zani, and I finished clearing up the shed, before getting totally involved in this miniature world.
