Winter Tree

Had a nice little geocaching walk over Kinver edge today with the family.
Intended to take a picture of the kids for today's entry, which I did, but then saw this tree and just felt that it came fully formed and framed.

It struck me so beautifully symmetrical and detailed, I had a further idea that I might track this particular tree through the seasons this year and use each picture for a 4 frame picture at the end.

Seeing as it was such a grey day, I figured it might be fitting to make it my first monochrome picture in this journal. Not sure I got the contrast right, but time was running out to publish it today, so this is how it's going to be :)
