Log booming.
On a hike out to a favourite spot, Dodds Narrows, we were treated to the sight of three tugs manouvering a very long log boom through the narrows at slack tide. The tide really ripps through the "narrows" which is about 100 meters across. The log boom was around 50 meters wide, and 300 meters long. The three skippers really had to work at keeping it from hanging up on the rocks of the shore.
