Simplicity and Light
Dear Diary,
The world is a vast stew of visual possibilities for a photographer. Everywhere we look there is something to photograph...something that is calling our attention. Filtering through all of it to find just one image is daunting. Today, I look at the pure zen-like simplicity found in my own backyard.
Some call it "minimalism". Reducing everything down to it's purest elements. Whatever you call it, there is a serenity and calm to an image like this and in the chaos of the world it is refreshing to retreat into this quiet space for a time.
As I grew older, I realized that it was much better to insist on the genuine forms of nature, for simplicity is the greatest adornment of art
Albrecht Durer.
